The Top Five States with fastest rising real estate prices
The Federal Housing Finance Agency reported the home value appreciation numbers for the U.S Market for March 31, 2018 through March 31, 2019.
The report identified the five states with the fastest annual appreciation as:
1) Idaho 13.4%
2) Nevada 10.6%
3) Utah 8.9%
4) Tennessee 7.7%
5) Georgia 7.5%
The report also noted the slowing West Coast housing market saying, “Annual house price appreciation was weakest in the Pacific division, where prices rose by 3.7percent.”
Some notable states cited as being below the national average in appreciation were:
#32 Texas 4.38%
#35 Oregon 4.0%
#38 California 3.18%
#40 Montana 3.08%
As for Idaho…
Idaho home prices significantly appreciated in value by 13.4 percent year over year…well above the national home price appreciation of 5.1 percent.
Of the 100 top price appreciating metropolitan areas in the U.S. Boise City, ID saw the greatest increase of 15.6 percent.
Coeur d’Alene, ID was the sixth highest appreciating city in the country with home values increasing 12.10 percent, during the same period.
